Client Feedback
Comments from studio managers, producers and technical crews about working with showlixir, with the detail of what changed in their routines.
Experiences from studios using the platform
The comments below come from people in different roles, from the floor to the gallery. They speak about specific routines rather than general praise.
“We run a daily bulletin with a small crew, and the production schedule used to change in several places. Now there is one plan everyone reads. Last-minute studio swaps are still stressful, but at least nobody works from an old version.”
“Lighting cue lists used to live in notebooks. We moved them into shared templates, and the rigging crew now sees changes between shows without a phone call. It saved us repeating the same explanation at every turnaround.”
“The equipment register made our maintenance conversations easier. When a monitor developed a fault, the history was already attached to it. We could decide quickly whether to swap it before the evening programme.”
“In the gallery we work from one running order, and late changes are marked in the same place. Our vision mixers stopped asking which version was current. Daniel visited a rehearsal and adjusted the layout to suit us.”
What these comments have in common
Across different studios and roles, similar themes come up. People rarely mention the software itself. They talk about calmer handovers, fewer repeated questions and plans that survive until the programme goes out.
Fewer repeated questions
Crews often ask the same things before each programme: which camera, which microphone, which studio, which version of the plan. When those answers sit in one record, the questions fall away. People still talk to each other, but they spend that time on the programme itself. Several clients describe rehearsals starting with less preamble and more attention on the actual show.
Plans that reach the floor
A good plan is of little use if the people on the floor never see it. Clients value that camera moves, lighting plots and audio setups arrive in a form operators can read quickly. We format them with the floor crew in mind, using plain wording and clear ordering. Adjustments are made after the first programmes, based on what crews tell us.
Honest limits
The platform does not remove the pressure of live television, and clients tell us so. Last-minute changes still happen, and people still have to make decisions. What changes is that those decisions are recorded where everyone can see them. We would rather describe that modest improvement accurately than promise something broader.
